The 2009 - 2010 Peace Poster year in our Multiple District was a very successful one.
The Awards evening was held on Saturday evening the 21st November in Port Elizabeth.
The winners of the competition were:
FIRST PLACE: Tyler Viviers (District 410D) Lions club of Port Rex
SECOND PLACE: Kinson Xiao Jian Li (District 410B) Lions Club Pretoria City
THIRD PLACE: Marcelle Eksteen (District 410A) Lions Club of Morreesburg

It was a wonderful evening and was very pleased to have the District D winner, Tyler Viviers there in person to receive his cheque.
My thanks really go to the District Chairpersons who did a wonderful PRO exercise with the promotion of the Peace Poster portfolio. Sales in all the districts improved immensely from the previous year.
PEACE POSTER CONTEST 2010 - 2011
The theme for the current year is VISION OF PEACE and all District Chairpersons will be encouraging all Clubs in our Multiple District to compete in this contest.
RULES OF CONTEST
The contest is open to children who will be 11, 12 or 13 on 15 November 2010. Contestants are asked to create a poster that visually communicates the theme of the contest to them. “Vision of Peace” opens up an opportunity for parents, teachers and Lions to discuss with children the true importance of peace.
Artwork may be no smaller than 33cm x 50cm and no larger than 50cm x 60cm. Do not mat or frame artwork.
Only one entry per student, with each entry the work of only one student being their original creation.
Three-dimensional entries will not be accepted and nothing may be glued, stapled or attached to the artwork.
The use of lettering or numbering on the front of the poster is not allowed and all artists’ names or initials should be written on the back of the poster.
Artwork should be done on a flexible material, so that it can be rolled for shipping in a mailing tube. Do not fold poster.
It is very important that the rules as far as size and format are adhered to as a lot of wonderful works had to be disqualified last year.
